    Argos workers announce strike dates

Argos distribution workers have announced the dates of two 24-hour work stoppages: 17th July and 24th July. These will be followed by a four-day stoppage, beginning 30th July, that will be staggered amongst the cataloguer’s sites in Basildon, Bridgwater, Heywood and Magna Park. The workers are protesting the company’s offer of a 4-percent pay rise in light of the 58-percent hike given to the CEO of Argos parent company Home Retail Group.

    FedEx looking to acquire TNT?

The Financial Times reports that FedEx is in preliminary talks to acquire rival courier TNT. Neither company has confirmed nor denied the article. The Netherlands-based TNT is appreciably smaller than US-based FedEx, but by acquiring TNT, FedEx would strengthen its European presence and ease its reliance on the US market.

    Charges dismissed against Goldshield Group

A court dismissed charges of fraud against Goldshield Group, which sells healthcare products direct to consumers as well as to the NHS, and four other companies. The five firms were accused of overcharging the NHS for generic medicines.

Littlewoods turns to affiliate videos, Esperanto

Littlewoods Direct is expanding its affiliate marketing efforts to include the use of interactive videos. The videos are available to affiliate marketers on the Buy.at network.
