Screwfix first quarter sales rise
|
|
For its first quarter to May 3rd Screwfix posted sales of £127 million, up by 23.6 per cent over Q1 2006. Some 50 per cent of its sales came from its 117 trade counters with the balance from its website and print catalogue. The Kingfisher owned business will open a further 21 trade counter outlets in the coming year. |

Jens Nordahl has resigned from his role as chief executive of Ikano subsidiary Habitat. He will leave the business in August to join Lego Holding as its chief executive. No replacement has been named for Nordahl who has worked for Ikano for some 18 years. |

Lancaster takes CatEx chair

Charles Tyrwhitt marketing director Alison Lancaster is to assume the role of the chair for not for profit trade body The Catalogue Exchange from July. She takes over from Mark Dugdale who will complete his term of office at the end of this month. The Catalogue Exchange expects to name a number of new members to its Advisory Board over the next few weeks. |
