Hornby has extended its leadership of the model market by acquiring the Corgi miniature die-cast car and truck brand for a £7.5 million consideration for the brand, licensing rights and tools, together with an additional £800,000 for stock. Hornby, best known for its train sets, also owns Airfix, Humbrol and Scalextric. |
