    TM Lewin hires COO

    Former ASDA retail change director Keith Nesbitt has been recruited to the post of chief operating officer by TM Lewin. The new role will encompass direction of distribution, logistics, and human resources.
     

    Inglis joins main board at Littlewoods

    Following re-organisation of its main board, Littlewoods Shop Direct created the role of trading director. The post has been taken by its group buying & merchandising director David Inglis whilst Clive Briscoe, who had served as sales and marketing director, leaves the business.
     

    Joe Browns strengthens team

    Alison Rycroft has joined Joe Browns as its buying & merchandising director. Rycroft’s career includes spells in buying functions for N Brown, Grattan, and latterly Damart.
     

    Amazon adds financial director

    Amazon has recruited Shaun McCabe to the position of financial director as it plans to offer a range of new categories. McCabe has joined from Homebase where he was head of trading finance as Amazon opens its fourth UK warehouse, this time in Swansea, to enable same day delivery to further large cities. Among the new product areas under consideration are packaged gourmet foods. Amazon also became the largest shareholder in DVD rental business LoveFilm following LoveFilm’s acquisition of the Amazon DVD rental business in the UK and Germany.
     

    Libey en-route to UK

    New management for Tridias

    Michelle Follett-Holt has acquired the assets of Tridias from its administrators and has pledged to honour outstanding refunds to customers. The business had had a troubled few years resulting in its sale of four underperforming stores last year but this was not enough to save it or the jobs of its employees.
     

    Celebrating amongst the dinosaurs
