For sale sign on Extremepie.com
The Extreme Sports Company, a brand management firm behind the Extreme Sports Channel, has put its ecommerce shop Extremepie.com on the market. The decision comes after a six-month review that concluded the business should focus solely on its licensing activities. Chief executive Al Gosling says he would consider a full sale of Extremepie’s assets, or a licensing deal that sees the Extreme Sports Company continue to support Extremepie.


Royal Mail names new boss
Royal Mail has appointed its first-ever female chief executive to head up the postal carrier. Moya Greene, who is currently president and chief executive of Canada Post Corporation, will take up her new role in mid July.

Petmeds opens up European websites
London-based pet supplies etailer Petmeds.co.uk has launched local-language websites for France, Germany, and Spain. Shoppers on the Continent can now buy from the company's entire range including medicines and food. Petmeds had initially expanded its international reach delivering nonfood items to Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and the Netherlands in late 2009.


Sales and profits up at New Look
Apparel retailer New Look recorded a 17.7 percent rise in underlying profit to £163 million in the year ending 27th March. Turnover also rose, up 10.7 percent to £1.46 billion. New Look remained tight-lipped about its return to the stock market after postponing its flotation in February.


Ocado preps for IPO
Ocado has appointed five banks ahead of its float on the stock exchange next month. Ocado’s planned flotation is estimated to value the online grocer at £1 billion.


New name for HDN
Delivery firm Home Delivery Network (HDN) is to rebrand as Yodel. The new brand incorporates the domestic businesses of DHL Express, which HDN acquired earlier this year.


St Ives buys Occam
Print services firm St Ives plc has acquired data marketing company Occam DM in a deal rumoured to be worth up to £12.6 million.
